Here at Heehaw, we believe it’s important to give back to the community where we work and live. So every year, we partner with a non-profit organisation to donate our time and creative talents to further their cause. in 2018 we partnered with the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home (EDCH), and as an office full of animal lovers, partnering with EDCH was an incredibly heart-warming experience.
We created a series of different videos for the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home this year, including an event video, a video about their pet boarding services, and a general overview video of the shelter. We got to work with a few famous names such as; Love Island’s Iain Stirling, Scottish actor and comedian Karen Dunbar, Scottish actor Laura Main and last but not least the wonderful Dion Leonard and Gobi the dog!
Here at Heehaw we got so much out of the partnership. Team Heehaw participated in some of EDCH’s great events like their Annual Golf Day, the St. Andrew’s Day ceilidh and we thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas party too. And over the course of the year we’ve been introduced to so many great people through their extensive network. We are also delighted to hold a place on EDCH’s sponsor wall, and couldn’t have asked for a better staff team at EDCH to work with over the past year! And even better than all of that, one of our Freelance cinematographers fell in love with a cat and was able to provide him with his forever home!
Our producer director Sami Young commented on her experience managing the EDCH partnership this year:
“Working with EDCH has been such a rewarding experience and a brilliant partnership. The work that EDCH does and what they stand for is incredible, and it was amazing to have the opportunity to promote this cause. Connecting with volunteers, staff, celebrities that support the home, and furry friends allowed us to come up with some really creative and exciting ideas for the projects.”
Our Managing Director, Mally Graveson, added: “The Edinburgh Dog and Cat home is an Edinburgh institution that has been at the forefront of animal welfare in this city for decades. I have nothing but complete admiration and respect for them and it’s been an honour to work with them this year. I feel very lucky that we are able to provide our creative skills to help raise awareness and promote this incredible organisation.”
